The Annual Cemetery Mass in St Corban’s Cemetery, Naas takes place on Wednesday 15th June 2022 at 7.30pm.

A Word of Appreciation

April 16, 2022

Easter Sunday has arrived! A day filled with hope, joy and the promise of life eternal. Each of our four churches are blessed to have so many Parishioners willing to ‘roll up their sleeves’, simply because they have a deep love for their particular Church or Parish. On this Easter day our Churches look resplendent with floral arrangements that befit the moment. To all who contributed in any way to the experience of Holy Week we express a heartfelt word of appreciation. To our organists, musicians and choirs, Ministers of the Word and of Communion, altar servers, collectors and counters, floral arrangers, altar societies, those who look after and clean our Churches, Liturgy Groups, PPCs and Lotto Committee, and to those who carry out a multitude of individual tasks.
To the office staff on the Sallins Road and in Ballycane, to our Sacristans in all four Churches. Thanks to the many Parish Groups who participate and keep alive the mission of our Parish. Finally, to you the Parishioners of Naas, Sallins and Two Mile House, thank you for your faith, thank you for the courage and conviction you have shown in returning to Sunday Mass after the experience of repeated lockdowns, therefore placing God at the center of your lives. On behalf of the Parish Team, thanks for the encouragement, kindness and the generous support you extend to each one of us, it is deeply appreciated.
From The Parish Team.

Ukrainian Gathering Naas Parish

April 10, 2022

At our most recent meeting of Naas Parish Pastoral Council on 6th April, a spontaneous decision resulted in a heart-warming experience. A moment of Welcome and Encounter. Just 48 hours later on Saturday afternoon last (9th April), the PPC hosted an afternoon for recently arrived refugees to our parish.
About 30 Ukranian nationals arrived to Ballycane Church, and over a cuppa: hospitality and information was offered and shared. More importantly, a safe space where they themselves could meet and find some measure of comfort in the chat and conversation. Those in attendance were, by and large, all women and young children with some teenage boys. The oldest, a Ukrainian lady, 94 years of age, her first time to find herself in a foreign country. A sad consequence of this war, to be displaced and forced to leave your home, your country. May God bless all who have opened their homes locally and offered welcome and safe refuge.
We continue to pray for an end to this war.
(Further gatherings to be arranged in the very near future.)
