Primary School Applications for Junior Infants

October 13, 2019

Primary School Applications for Junior Infants commences on Monday 21st October for the following schools; Scoil Bhríde, Oldtown, Naas, St Corban’s B.N.S, Scoil an Linbh Iosa (Holy Child Primary School, Ballycane) and Mercy Convent Primary School, Sallins Road. The closing date for the submission of applications is Friday 15th November at 3pm. Parents are encouraged to call to one school of their choice for an Application Form. Alternatively, depending on your school of choice, Application Forms may also be available to download from the school’s website. Please contact schools for all further queries.

“GROW” Community Mental Health Education Programme

October 13, 2019

“GROW” Community Mental Heath Movement will host a Community Education Programme called ‘Understanding and Minding your Mental Health’ over four Tuesdays from 7.30pm – 9.30pm starting on Tues. 15th October in Naas Community Centre. Parish Confirmation Programme

September 26, 2019

We are very pleased to announce a new Parish Confirmation Programme which will run over three consecutive Thursdays in November, taking place on the 14th, 21st and 28th of November from 7.30pm-8.30pm in Ballycane Church. These sessions will be child friendly, interactive and engaging. The sessions will be led by members of the Parish team and Froebel students from Maynooth.

As numbers are very limited, places will be allocated on a first come first served ….

Registration for First Communion and Confirmation 2020

Online Registration is now open for First Communion and Confirmation 2020.

To register for First Holy Communion 2020 click here

Any candidate for First Holy Communion or Confirmation who would like to apply for the Sacrament in the coming year 2019/2020 must register online. Please note that registration will close automatically on Friday 18th October 2019. Any candidate who wishes to apply for these Sacraments and who is outside of the Parish school system, please make contact with the Parish Office, Sallins Road on 045 879 730 as soon as possible. Ballycane Choir Welcome New Members

Ballycane Church Choir welcome new members. We currently have over 50 members but welcome more. We welcome Sopranos, Altos, Tenors and especially Basses! We have a great friendly choir and we have lots of fun and enjoyment! Would you like to join us? You are most welcome to come along. Further details 087 235 2545.

Our Choir leads the singing at the 10.30am mass most Sundays in Ballycane Church. (You don’t have to sing every Sunday or attend every practice, just as often as suits you). We normally practice on Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays. (No day suits everybody!) You are most welcome.

Firstly, I want to take the opportunity to thank all parishioners for their generosity to the Parish Finances down through the years. It is sincerely appreciated and is very significant in supporting the work and mission of the Parish.
In recent years, Parishes through the kind co-operation of their parishioners have participated in the Tax Rebate scheme. Where an individual parishioner/family make a contribution of €250 or greater in any financial year, Revenue will refund 31% of their contribution to the Parish.
