A Message from Bishop Denis to all our Recently Confirmed Children

Bishop Denis sends his prayers and best wishes to all the boys and girls from across the diocese who have yet to celebrate their Confirmation, or have already received their Confirmation earlier this year. He asks the boys and girls to write him an email detailing how they are spending this time and how they continue to prepare for their Confirmation, or how they are using the gifts of the Holy Spirit since they have celebrated their Confirmation Day, emails to be sent into [email protected]

He is also inviting them to join their local parish for Mass on Saturday 30th or Sunday 31st May or if your local parish does not have webcam facility then please join him as he celebrates Mass at 6.15pm via the Carlow Cathedral Webcam.

Resources for Families – Preparing for the Sunday Liturgy

May 22, 2020

With our Sunday Liturgies suspended for the time being we are really missing the faces of our little Parishioners every week. As you are aware by now we have our Masses broadcast on webcam and the parish YouTube channel. We have compiled a few resources to help you  prepare your child for the Sunday liturgy. Watching the links and praying and reflecting with your child before the Liturgy can really help them to prepare for Mass. We will put the resources up during the week so you will have plenty of time to look at them.

Trocaire reflection

May 22, 2020

Trocaire has compiled this reflection based on a recent statement of Pope Francis: “The pandemic reminds us there are no difference or borders between those who suffer. We are all frail, all equal, all precious. May we be profoundly shaken: Now is the time to eliminate inequalities and heal the injustice undermining the health of the entire human family!”
