Celebrating GOLD! Congratulations to Naas Tidy Towns Volunteers and to the former Naas Town Council on the great achievement of a Gold medal in the 2014 Large Urban Area Category G of the National Tidy Towns Competition. This is the first time that Naas has ever achieved a gold medal. So much work and effort is carried out each year by the committee and volunteers of Naas Tidy Towns. They certainly enhance our Town and enviornment and we owe them much gratitude. Well done and thanks! The gold is well deserved. Click here to view the judges comments.

The John Paul II Award Programme has been running in our diocese for a number of years. The award helps young people get involved in the life of their local parish and community. It is for those in senior cycle or for school leavers aged 16 and over.
Through the award the teenagers will have the opportunity to get involved in various events, activities, ministry, training and trips over the year ahead. Those who sign up are committing to work voluntary in their local parish and community for the year. Over the last 4 years we’ve had over 1000 young people from the diocese participating in the awards.
