Thank you Lord for the gift of my life.
Thank you for my family, my friends and my education.
The exams are here now Lord, and I ask your blessing.
Some of my friends are feeling the pressure,
and sometimes I feel a little nervous too.
I want to do my best, so please guide me.
Help me to remember what I have studied.
Help me to express myself clearly, and keep me calm.
Be with me during the exams, and walk with me always. Amen.
We wish all our students well in your exams and will remember you in our prayers.

Today Saturday 28th of May, Fr. Liam Morgan will be installed as Parish Priest of Naas, Sallins and Two Mile House. This ceremony will take place during the 6pm Mass in the Parish Church on the Sallins Road. The Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Denis Nulty. Light refreshments will be served afterwards. All are welcome to attend. We pray God’s blessing on Fr. Liam as he begins this new chapter in his priestly ministry.
At the closing of Dancing at Lughnasa as Michael casts his mind back on that Summer of 1936 he tells us that different kinds of memories come his way. I can identify with that as I cast my mind back on almost 19 years living on the Sallins Road.
My first Summer was ‘98 when the Curragh of Kildare was the song of the day and the night. I recall the collective boys of St Corban’s School singing ‘Lovely Laois’ last Tuesday……. Miracles do Happen. I am truly grateful for the times we shared, for the many different ways you have allowed and trusted me to minister with you in our three Parishes. Thank you for the doors you opened for me in the best and worst of times. For the welcome, the support, the many ways we worked, prayed, sang and broke bread together. I am humbled and affirmed by your kindness and generosity over the years and particularly in recent weeks, both public and private.
I thank my colleagues and all who are part of the team of staff and volunteers for their service and ministry, generosity of time and spirit.
I go to North Kildare truly blessed by your friendship and Christian spirit. As a friend and former colleague used to say on departure “May God be with you now when I can’t ”. John
Best wishes and every blessing to the children from our parishes who celebrate and have celebrated their First Holy Communion these few weeks. We congratulate all the children and their families and thank everyone who helped them prepare for First Communion. Our thanks are particularly due to their teachers and the ‘Do This in Memory’ team. It is the hope of all involved that the children will continue to grow in their Christian faith.
This weekend we express heartfelt thanks to Fr. John Brickley. Nineteen years of dedicated and generous ministry to our parish. In that time John has touched the lives of so many people.
As we his colleagues on the Parish Team go about our daily routine, we find that the constant topic of conversation is John’s leaving. The sentiments are all pretty much the same. The kindness, the sensitivity, the human warmth of John is recalled, as yet another parishioner tells of a time when a loved one was sick, or struggling, or perhaps sadly died. Common to each recall, is a kindness that is …

Congratulations to all who are celebrating their confirmation in the faity. Please pray for our young people as they open their young hearts to the Gifts of The Holy Spirit. This Sacrament of Confirmation gives them the necessary tools to face the complex challenges of teenage life in a positive frame of mind, knowing they are never alone. For them, and for ourselves too, we pray, “Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful”. We hope that this will be a special time in the lives of the candidates and their families. Enjoy and treasure the time spent together.
