A Wonderful Star Studded Evening of Classical and Poplar Favourites with Norah King, Paul Linehan and Samuel Allen takes place on Friday coming 26th August at 8pm at the Moat Theatre. Tickets on sale from the Parish Office 045 879 730 or the Moat Theatre at 045 883 030. We would appreciate your support at this annual event for the Irish Franciscan Lourdes Pilgrimage Fund. The concert will be a lovely evening of popular musical and classical numbers with Norah King, tenor Paul Linehan ….
Congratulations to all the students of the 2016 Leaving Cert classes in our parishes who have received your exam results. Congratulations also to all your teachers for their great work and to your parents and families who helped you in very significant ways over the past few years.
Some of you have achieved what you were hoping for. Others may not have reached what you hoped for, but be assured ‘all will be well’. You may be a little disappointed now, but nothing is ever as bad as it seems. New doors will open and new opportunities will present themselves, opportunities that will bring happiness and fulfilment in your life. Congratulations again and well done! May God continue to inspire, challenge and guide your every choice and decision.

Ballycane Church Choir will resume practice on Monday 5th September at 8pm in the Church. We currently have 50 members but welcome more. We welcome Sopranos, Altos, Tenors and Basses. We have a great friendly choir and we have lots of fun and enjoyment! Would you like to join us? You are most welcome to come along. Just turn up for the practice. Further details 087 235 2545. Naas Musical Society Open Night on Thursday coming 25th August at 8pm in Town House Hotel. Come and meet the Members and Committee to hear all about their plans for the coming season including Audition details for the March production of “Sugar/ Some Like It Hot”. We are looking for new members for Stage, Back Stage, Front of House, Set Painting, Costumes etc. For more details phone Tina at 087 6023025.

McAuley Place Renaissance Charity Shop are holding a family fun day for the whole community on Saturday coming 27th August from 12noon. Many local musicians will be making an appearance. There will be an ‘open mic’ option for any up and coming musicians of all ages, so feel free to get in touch with the shop to put your name down on the set list. Refreshments will be provided. There will be donation boxes around the shop on the day in support of McAuley Place and our own Special Olympics Team (Local Branch). A great fun day is promised, so come along and enjoy!

Mona Conroy and Owen C Lynch will present a spectacular evening of musical drama to mark the centenary of 1916 on Tuesday 30th and Wednesday 31st August in the Town Hall. Tickets are now on sale from Jam Music at 045 883 788. Booking is advised as tickets are limited.

This weekend we warmly welcome Fr. Alex Kochatt who will serve as curate in Naas, Sallins and Two Mile House. Fr. Alex has previously served in Kilcock, Co. Kildare and Askea Parish, Carlow. He will live in the Parish House in Lakelands, beside Naas Hospital. We wish Alex many years of happiness here.
Would you like to enhance your town? Why not get involved with Naas Tidy Towns? We have a weekly ‘DAY-TIME clean up and an EVENING -TIME Cleanup. Would you be available to help with either? If you would like to be involved text or call Vourneen at 086 813 8821. Before each clean-up we will send you a text message to inform you of the time and location. If you are free, you simply come along for the enjoyable hour. We will provide litter pickers, gloves and bags.
