Celebrating GOLD! Congratulations to Naas Tidy Towns Volunteers and to Kildare County Council on the great achievement of a Gold medal in the 2016 Large Urban Area Category G of the National Tidy Towns Competition. This is the third consecutive year that Naas has achieved a gold medal. So much work and effort is carried out each year by the committee and volunteers of Naas Tidy Towns. They certainly enhance our Town and enviornment and we owe them much gratitude. Well done and thanks! The gold is well deserved. Click here to view the judges comments.
Preparing for the Sacraments: On Wednesday 14th September last, we met with the Principals of the Nine Primary Schools, drawn from the three parishes of Naas, Sallins and Two Mile House. This was the first time that all nine schools came together to plan and prepare for the celebration of the sacraments; First Confession, First Holy Communion and Confirmation. As well as our own Catholic Schools, in attendance we had Killashee MDNS, Naas Community NS, Gaelscoil ….
Neiland & Creane Organ Builders (Wexford), have told us that work is progressing well on the restoration and maintenance of our Church Organ, particular attention is being given to the pipework, facade, soundboards, bellows, console etc. Our Church Organ is regarded as one of the finest in the country, and so in many ways we are obliged to safeguard something that links us to the past and to those who have gone before us, ensuring that when heard in all its glory it will ….

Ballycane Church Choir will resume practice on Monday 5th September at 8pm in the Church. We currently have 50 members but welcome more. We welcome Sopranos, Altos, Tenors and Basses. We have a great friendly choir and we have lots of fun and enjoyment! Would you like to join us? You are most welcome to come along. Just turn up for the practice. Further details 087 235 2545. The No Name Club is seeking adult volunteers to help with the establishment of a Youth Club for the Naas Area.
