Daytime Holy Saturday is a time of waiting. Our churches are left bare of decoration and no masses or ceremonies take place. But come the fall of darkness all that changes, because Easter begins; the church is decorated, people assemble, candles are lit, joyful Easter songs are sung, and the Easter Vigil Mass begins. This Easter Vigil Mass is the culmination of Holy Week. The Lord is Risen, he is truly Risen, Alleluia.

For over 20 years parishioner Jim Sullivan voluntarily organised the Eucharistic Ministers in Naas Parish. This is a hugely challenging task of organising Sunday and weekday rotas for the two churches, house visitation, the hospital etc. Jim has now decided to retire from this service. We thank him most sincerely for his effort and generous service of the Parish all down through the years and wish him every blessing and good wish.
To Mark his generous service to the Eucharistic Ministers, a token presentation was made to Jim and his wife Una at the 10 mass on Sunday 30th March. We wish Jim and Una every happiness for the future.

Sunday, 23rd of February, 2014 marked another historic day in the life of St. Peter’s Parish, Two Mile House. It marked Bishop Denis Nulty’s first visit to the parish as bishop. He celebrated the 11am Mass and blessed the new extension on our school. There was a great turn out for the occasion which brought everyone from the parish together. We were delighted to have a great number of the newly crowned All Ireland Champions present with all the silverware accumulated over the season, including the cup that crowns them all, the All Ireland Trophy!
On behalf of the parish, Etta Cowley and Sabina Kennelly presented a ……
Heartiest Congratulations to Two Mile House GAA who have won the All Ireland Junior Club Title on Sunday 9th February 2014! It was a fantastic occasion and a proud day for the team, the club and the people of Two Mile House Parish. Well done to all concerned.
Sunday 26th January saw Two Mile House make history as their lads defeated Emyvale in a thriller of a match to get to the All-Ireland Club Final in Croke Park. We are delighted that the team attended Mass in St. Peter’s Church, Two Mile House on Sunday morning before heading, by bus, to Croke Park. There was tremendous support for the team at the match. The parish united in one full roar…. “C’mon The House!” Enjoy the celebrations!
