Good Friday Ceremony Times – Celebration of the Lord’s Passion

Crucifixtion - Outside Parish ChurchToday Good Friday we celebrate the passion and death of Jesus on the cross.  Jesus chose to bear our burdens and give his life that we might live; live life to the full on this earth and new life in eternity.  If you can, keep this a sacred day and try to attend one of the ceremonies.

Morning Prayer: Morning Prayer will be held on Good Friday at 10am in the Church of the Irish Martyrs, Ballycane.
Naas Parish Church:
3.00pm – Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion
7.30pm – Stations of the Cross
Ballycane Church:-
12.00 noon – Stations of the Cross
5.00pm – Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion
9.00pm – Ecumenical Prayer around the Cross
Sallins Church:
3.00pm – Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion
7.30pm – Stations of the Cross
Two-Mile House:
3.00pm – Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion
7.30pm – Stations of the Cross

Ecumenical Prayer and Pilgrimage:- Begins with ‘The Stations of the Cross’ in Church of Our Lady and St David, Sallins Road; then proceed to St. David’s Church of Ireland, Main Street for prayers at 8.00pm; then walk to Church of the Irish Martyrs, Ballycane for ‘Prayer around the Cross’ Service at 9.00pm.
