Today Good Friday we celebrate the passion and death of Jesus on the cross.  Jesus chose to bear our burdens and give his life that we might live; live life to the full on this earth and new life in eternity.

If you can, keep this a sacred day and try to attend one of the ceremonies.

Ecumenical Prayer and Pilgrimage:– Begins with ‘The Stations of the Cross’ in Church of Our Lady and St David, Sallins Road; then proceed to St. David’s Church of Ireland, Main Street for prayers at 8.00pm; then walk to Church of the Irish Martyrs, Ballycane for ‘Prayer around the Cross’ Service at 9.00pm.
