This year’s Cuan Mhuire Annual Fundraising Hillwalk will a 15 km stroll through the beautiful landscape of the Garden County, taking place on Saturday 1st July 2017 in Tinahely, Co. Wicklow. Registeration for the event is available at www.iregister.ie/v2/events/cuan-mhuireannual-hillwalk-2017/ or at Base Camp on the day.

If any one would like to take a sponsorship card they can be requested at hillwalk@cuanmhuire.

Base Camp will be located at the Riverside Business Centre (RBC) located at the entrance to Tinahely at the junction of the R747 and the L3205 roads. Ample parking is available within the center’s car park. As highlighted in the documents, the walk will follow the line of the Ballycumber Loop Hillwalk, starting from and returning to Riverside Business Centre (RBC). It is conservatively estimated that the entire walk will take between four to six hours to complete, depending obviously on people’s level of fitness. Walking boots, appropriate walking clothing and packed lunch are essential. Light refreshments will be provided at two locations alongthe route. A shorter route will also be available for anyone who does not wish to take on the longer walk. In the interest of ensuring everybody returns safely to Base Camp after the walk, it is essential that all walkers “sign-in” at the START, CHECKPOINT 1, CHECKPOINT 2, CHECKPOINT 3 and especially when they return to the base camp after completing the walk. The €25 (€50 Family) registration fee covers the refreshments at the Checkpoints and the food provided on return to the Base Camp. Cheques or Drafts for the Registration Fee should be made payable to Cuan Mhuire.
