Holy Thursday – 29th March

Eucharist or Sacraments SymbolsThe celebration of the Lord’s Supper is the highlight of Holy Thursday.

Morning Prayer: 10am in the Church of the Irish Martyrs, Ballycane.

Naas Parish Church: 7.30pm – Mass of the Lord’s Supper
Ballycane: 7.30pm – Mass of the Lord’s Supper
Sallins: 7.30pm – Mass of the Lord’s Supper
Two-Mile House: 7.30pm  – Mass of the Lord’s Supper

Adoration: Following the 7.30pm Mass there will be quiet prayer / adoration in Naas Parish Church, Sallins Road, and in the Church of the Irish Martyrs, Ballycane ending with night prayer at 10.00pm.

Good Friday – 30th March

Today Good Friday we celebrate the passion and death of Jesus on the cross.  Jesus chose to bear our burdens and give his life that we might live; live life to the full on this earth and new life in eternity.  If you can, keep this a sacred day and try to attend one of the ceremonies.

5.00pm – Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion
9.00pm – Ecumenical Prayer around the Cross

Sallins Church:

7.30pm – Stations of the Cross

Two-Mile House:
3.00pm – Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion
7.30pm – Stations of the Cross

Ecumenical Prayer and Pilgrimage: Begins with ‘The Stations of the Cross’ in Church of Our Lady and St David, Sallins Road; then proceed to St. David’s Church of Ireland, Main Street for prayers at 8.00pm; then walk to Church of the Irish Martyrs, Ballycane for ‘Prayer around the Cross’ Service at 9.00pm.

Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday

resurrectionDaytime Holy Saturday is a time of waiting. Our churches are left bare of decoration and no masses or ceremonies take place. But come the fall of darkness all that changes, because Easter begins; the church is decorated, people assemble, candles are lit, joyful Easter songs are sung, and the Easter Vigil Mass begins. This Easter Vigil Mass is the culmination of Holy Week. The Lord is Risen, he is truly Risen, Alleluia.

Confessions in the Church of Our Lady and St. David, Sallins Road from 10.00am to 1.00pm

Naas Parish Church: 9.00am, 11.00a.m. (PLEASE NOTE: No Evening Mass)
Ballycane:- 10.30a.m. & 12noon.
Sallins:- 10.00a.m. & 12 noon
Two-Mile House:- 11.00a.m.

The Easter Collection for the support of the priests of the parish will take place at all Easter Vigil and Easter Sunday Masses.
