Very Rev. Fr. Denis Doyle. PE, CC, Naas. RIP

We deeply regret to announce the death of our dearly loved retired curate and chaplain to Naas Hospital, Fr. Denis Doyle, Lakelands and Craddock House, Naas.

Fr. Denis passed to his eternal reward Monday evening 19th May at Naas General Hospital.

Deeply regretted by his housekeeper Mary, relatives, Bishop Nulty and the priests of the Diocese of Kildare and Leighlin, parishioners and friends.

Funeral Arrangements: Reposing in Craddock House Nursing Home, Naas on Wednesday. Removal on Wednesday evening arriving at the Parish Church of Lady and St. David, Sallins Road, Naas at 6.30pm and reposing there with Night Prayer at 9pm. Requiem Mass on Thursday at 12 noon, followed by interment in the Church grounds.

Fr. Doyle came to Naas in 1989 to serve as chaplain in Naas Hospital and curate in Naas Parish. Fr. Denis was born 2nd January 1927. His homeplace was Graignamanagh, Co. Kilkenny. He was educated in Knockbeg before entering St. Patrick’s College, Maynooth. He was ordained on 22nd June 1952. His first appointment, in 1952 was to Tinryland, Co. Carlow. In 1958 he was appointed to Bagenalstown, Co. Carlow. In 1968 he was appointed to Carlow College. In 1973 he was appointed to Mountrath, Co. Laois. He was appointed Parish Priest of Tinryland in 1980.

The death has occurred of Eileen McKeon (née Ni Shuilleabhain), Ashgrove Drive, Naas, Co. Kildare

Sunday 18th May 2014, Eileen, peacefully, at Naas General Hospital.

Beloved wife of Billy and loving Mam of Darina, Ciaran and the late Feargal. Sadly missed by her loving husband, daughter, son, her sisters, Mairin and Caitlin, her brothers, Pat, John, Seamus, Christy and Colm, nephews, nieces, relatives and wide circle of friends.

Funeral Arrangements: Reposing at her residence on Monday from 4pm to 8pm with rosary at 8pm. Removal to the Church of the Irish Martyrs, Ballycane, Naas on Tuesday morning for 11am Requiem Mass, with burial afterwards in St. Corban’s Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to The Irish Wheelchair Association Day Care Centre, Clane. Donations box in church.

Christy Porter (Jnr), Sarto Park, Naas, Co. Kildare

The death has occurred of Christopher (jnr.) (Christy) Porter, Sarto Park, Naas, Co. Kildare

Thursday 8th May 2014.

Sadly missed by his loving mother and father Margaret and Christy, wife Carol, sons Jayden and Dylan, daughter Jessica, sisters and brothers Annmarie, Gwen, Catríona, Jason, Trevor, John, Rita, Francis and Richard, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The death has occurred of Sean (John) McGlynn, St. Martin’s Avenue, Naas, Co. Kildare. (Late of ESB Power Station, Allenwood).

Monday 5th May 2014 in the tender care of the staff of Craddock House Nursing Home.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Patricia, sons Andrew, Dominic, John and Declan, daughters-in-law Elaine and Claire, grandchildren Lauren, Adam, Ronan and Ella, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and a large circle of friends.

Funeral Arrangements: Reposing at the George Mullins Funeral Home, Kilcullen Road, Naas with prayers at 7pm on Monday evening . Removal on Tuesday evening at 6pm arriving at the Parish Church of Our Lady and St. David, Sallins Road, Naas at 6.30pm. Funeral on Wednesday after 10am Mass to St. Corban’s Cemetery, Dublin Road, Naas. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to The Society of St. Vincent DePaul, Naas. Donation box in church.

Bernie O’Dwyer, Hill House, Osberstown, Naas

The death has occurred of Bernadette O’Dwyer, Hill House, Osberstown, Naas, Co. Kildare. (late of Bohilla, Inistioge, Co. Kilkenny).

Wednesday 30th April 2014, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and staff at St. Brigid’s Hospice, The Curragh.

Loving and devoted wife of the late Gerard recently deceased, much loved Mum of Aileen (Morrin), Denis and James, son-in-law Tom, daughters-in-law Jane and Julie, her adored grandchildren Patrick, Donncha, Liam, Robert and Grace. She will be sadly missed by her loving family, brother Tom, sisters Mary and Breda, sister-in-law, Noreen, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral Arrangements: Reposing at her residence from 6pm to 9pm on Friday evening. Removal on Saturday morning at 9.30am to arrive at The Parish Church of Our Lady and St. David, Sallins Road, Naas for 10am Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in St. Corban’s Cemetery, Naas. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to St. Brigid’s Hospice The Curragh. Donation Box in Church. House private on Saturday morning please.
