Since my stepping down from holding the position of parish priest a number of weeks ago I have received many cards and letters wishing me well and offering support and encouragement.

This Easter weekend I want to thank you all for your prayers, good wishes and support. Individual Thank Yous would take a lot of time and so I hope you will accept this communal note of appreciation. On behalf of all of us I wish to thank Fr. John along with ….

Parish Priest Duties and Responsibilities

Message from Fr. John Brickley re Fr. Tom McDonnell P.P: Due to Father Tom’s illness he needs to take a break at this time and has decided to let go of all responsibilities and duties. Monsignor Brendan Byrne has asked me to take care of things for the time being, in co-operation with the other priests. I hope and trust that we can all work together as a community of faith at this time.
Signed: John Brickley (1st March 2012)

It should be noted here that the last works carried out on our Church was in 1985, over a quarter of a century ago. A New Year – New Challenges for our Parishes

Every New Year brings its own challenges. This year we are all deeply aware of the very difficult times which face our society. Many are struggling to make ends meet as we gradually come to realise the impact that recent policies and dishonesty has had. Many have lost their savings and pensions and as often happens those at the bottom of society will have to pay disproportionately for debts run up by those who controlled millions. The closure of Superquinn in Naas reminds us of those …
