The renovation and up-grading of the Church of Our Lady and St. David, Naas has been discussed and planned for many years. Dear Parishioners, As promised in my message to you in our Newsletter of 14th March last, I now wish to elaborate on the situation regarding the deteriorating state of Our Lady and Saint David’s Church on the Sallins Road and the measures we are obliged to undertake to preserve and restore its very fabric and integrity and comply with current regulations.
Every New Year brings its own challenges. This year we are all deeply aware of the very difficult times which face our society. Many are struggling to make ends meet as we gradually come to realise the impact that recent policies and dishonesty has had. Many have lost their savings and pensions and as often happens those at the bottom of society will have to pay disproportionately for debts run up by those who controlled millions.
