We deeply regret to announce the untimely death of our Parish Priest Fr. Tom McDonnell, Parochial House, Naas. Fr. Tom passed to his eternal reward Friday evening 11th May at Harolds Cross Hospice. He was aged 63.

Fr. Tom is survived by his sister Maura and brother Donal, aunt, relatives, the Diocesan Administrator and priests of the Parish and Diocese of Kildare and Leighlin, parishioners and friends.

Funeral:  Funeral took place at Naas Parish Church. Fr. Tom was buried beside his parents in Baltinglass Cemetery, Co. Wicklow.

May Tom rest in the peace of the Lord that he loved and served.

Naas Lions Club Gala Summer Concert will take place on Sunday 27th May in the Killashee House Hotel, featuring the Baldonnel Singers with special guests Celine Byrne, Paul Linehan and the Army No. 1 Band. Main beneficiary from the proceeds of the concert will be The Moat Theatre, Naas. Tickets from the Moat Theatre, Veritas Shop, Top Twenty and Lawlors Hotel.

The St.Vincent de Paul Furniture Shop in Naas is holding an Auction on Sunday May 20th. Viewing starts at 12pm and the Auction commences at 2pm. We are looking for good quality furniture for the Auction. Perhaps you have some furniture that you no longer need and could be put to good use? Collection and delivery service is available. A Parish Golf Classic in aid of Naas Parish Church Restoration Fund will take place on Monday, 18th June, 2012 at Craddockstown Golf Club. This will be a Four Person Team Event / Scramble .

Entry Fee (including meal) is €300 per team for the early bird tee time – 8am to 12 noon, and €400 per team for tee time from 2pm to 4pm. Individuals can be facilitated on a team (086 810 2201). The Parish Golf Classic offers a great opportunity to help raise funds for the impending restoration / preservation work that needs to be carried out on the Church of Our Lady and St. David, Sallins’ Road.
