Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday Mass Times

resurrectionDaytime Holy Saturday is a time of waiting. Our churches are left bare of decoration and no masses or ceremonies take place. But come the fall of darkness all that changes, because Easter begins; the church is decorated, people assemble, candles are lit, joyful Easter songs are sung, and the Easter Vigil Mass begins. This Easter Vigil Mass is the culmination of Holy Week. The Lord is Risen, he is truly Risen, Alleluia.

Easter Sunday - Day time Masses

Naas Parish Church:- 9.00a.m., 11.00a.m., (PLEASE NOTE: No Evening Mass)
Ballycane:- 10.30a.m. & 12.00p.m.
Sallins:- 10.00a.m. & 12 noon
Two-Mile House:- 11.00a.m.

An Ecumenical Sunrise Service will take place in Punchestown at 6.30am on Easter Sunday to which all are welcome. ‘On the first day of the week at the first sight of dawn’.

The Easter Collection for the support of the priests of the parish will take place at all Easter Vigil and Easter Sunday Masses.

Naas Easter Sunday Parade 2018

April 1, 2018; 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm.

Parade2009cThe Naas Easter Parade will be taking place this Easter Sunday, 1st April at 3pm. There will be lots of fun for all the family: Marching Bands, Community Groups, Sport Groups, Local Business, Irish Dancers, Gymnastics, Vintage Cars, and Steam Engines. The annual parade is usually watched by thousands of people and is a great family occasion.

Sheenah Walsh 5k Road Race

This year’s Easter Parade coincides with the inaugural Naas Athletic Club Streets of Naas 5km road race. The parade will make its way through the town at approximately 3pm finishing at Fairgreen. It startsat Blessington Road. It will be preceded by the race, which starts at Poplar Square at 1pm, with race number collection between 11am and 12.30 pm at Naas Town Hall. The winner will receive the ‘Sheena Walsh’ trophy, in honour of the memory of the 31 year old local woman who passed away in November 2016. The parade theme is ‘Get Naas Active’ with an array of sporting, health and fitness organisations and businesses taking part along with a host of local groups as well as two pipe bands. “Please come out and support what promises to be an enjoyable afternoon”

Naas, Sallins and Two Mike House Parishes Pro-Life Weekend.

April 29, 2018; 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

In light of the upcoming referendum on repealing the eight amendment of our constitution, the weekend of 28th and 29th April will be designated a Pro-Life weekend in Naas Parish.
