Moira, Wishing you a Fond Farewell

Moira, Wishing you a Fond Farewell This weekend the Parish of Sallins expresses a heartfelt Thank You to Moira Humphries who retired as Sacristan after an incredible 47 years of dedicated and unparalleled service.

It is fitting that such a milestone should be celebrated in the presence of Bishop Denis Nulty, who will celebrate the 6.30pm Mass in Sallins this Saturday evening. The Parish of Sallins wish to acknowledge the outstanding commitment given by Moira over all these years. While Priests‘ come and go, Moira has been the constant face of Sallins; quietly working away, with us; week in and week out, part of all the Sacramental occasions of our Parish. It is a work that she has carried out with sensitivity, warmth, welcome and a helpfulness that always went above and beyond the call of duty.

As priests we have enjoyed Moira‘s good nature, the chats in the Sacristy before going out to celebrate Mass, her willingness to guide and direct us, especially when new to the Parish. Moira, you have been a good and faithful servant of both Sallins Parish and the Lord. May God bless you abundantly with good health to enjoy a well earned rest. The presentation and celebration this weekend from the Parish of Sallins is an indication of our gratitude and the high esteem in which you are held

Every Blessing Moira. Fr Liam, the Parish Team and the People of Sallins
