Sacramental Preparation in our Schools

Preparing for the Sacraments: On Wednesday 14th September last, we met with the Principals of the Nine Primary Schools, drawn from the three parishes of Naas, Sallins and Two Mile House. This was the first time that all nine schools came together to plan and prepare for the celebration of the sacraments; First Confession, First Holy Communion and Confirmation. As well as our own Catholic Schools, in attendance we had Killashee MDNS, Naas Community NS, Gaelscoil Nás na Riogh. Presently the Parish offers Chaplaincy to all nine schools with a particular focus on those children being presented for the Sacraments. As School Chaplains we are especially grateful to all our schools for the welcome and wonderful co-operation that we experience week in week out, it is appreciated.

On Wednesday of this week, we met with the Sacramental Teachers from the nine schools, again this was a great opportunity to meet, discuss and map out the Sacramental Preparation for the coming year. Again our renewed thanks to all our schools, both meetings were certainly valuable and worthwhile.
